Ronaldo Legend 3 Adventure in Europa
After the WCup '94, Ronaldo moved to Holland. The Dutch was given a painful beginning from him. He bumped his head on a door at Amsterdam airport! Ronaldo promised lots of goals for PSV when he was the first time in front of the press in Dutch. He kept it at last and scored 30 goals in 34 games, which also lead him to became the leading scorer. Life in Holland was difficult for Ronaldo at the beginning. For example, during the first time Ronaldo went to the restaurant in Holland, Ronaldo could not eat as he liked. The whole menu was written in Dutch which he didn't understand. Then he picked one of the dish by occasion and order it repeatedly for the first week. In almost the whole second season in PSV, Ronaldo was at rest. He got his knee injuried in autumn 1995. Despite of that, both Barcelona and Inter Milan had prepared to make a deal with Ronaldo.
2) From substitution to regular player The next match Ronaldo fought for Brazil was the Umbro Cup in 1995. He scored a fantastic goal against England at Wembley. Brazil was the winner of the tournament. In the summer, Ronaldo was called-up as a substitute for Brazil in the Copa America in Uruguay. He only participated in the opening match against Ecuador. At last, in the friendly match against Uruguay in October 1995, Ronaldo scored 2 goals which enabled Brazil to win the game. Ronaldo was then truly established in the Brazilian team. The next thing for Ronaldo to do as a regular national player was to win the goal medal at the 1996 Olympic Games in Atalanta. Although he was still recovering from his knee injury, he could still scored 5 goals during the games. But Brazil could only get a bronze medal at last.
3) Setting record for Brazilian With the total 55 goals in 56 games in PSV, Ronaldo was becoming the target of some famous football club in Europa. When Ronaldo was in Atlanta, PSV was negotiating with both Barcelona and Inter Milan. Finally, Barcelona won the Brazilian with the argeement of £12.8M. the manager of Barcelona, Bobby Robson, also the former manager of PSV, knowing that he had got a genius, who had set a record fee for Brazilian.
4) The road to famous Everytime Ronaldo played for the home side of Barcelona, he would have a chance to face 115000 people at the Nou Camp Stadium. Ronaldo didn't disappoint his fans, he scored many wonderful goals on that pitch. Those goals not only made the spectators happy about him, but also made the name 'Ronaldo' well known around the world.
