Ronaldo's Romance
Ronaldo's love affair is just similar to his life in soccer, very colourful. The one which people talked about the most was the one with Susana.Ronaldo met and fell in love with Susana Werner, a model, soap-opera actress and tv presenter, after the 1996 Olympics. And she's a footballer too!Susana and the marketing manager at Rio club Fluminense, Denise Liporacci, came up with the idea of starting a women's team. Susana was the second leading scorer last year. Ronaldo and Susana played in a Brazilian tv, Malhacao (Dolce Vita), last summer. Ronaldo played 'Betinho', the coach of a women's soccer team, who falls in love with one of his player, Mariana, played by Susana!Ronaldo and Susana are engaged to be married, but the day has not been decided yet.

| What is football means to you? | I am interested
in sports. My father used to take me to the Maracana stadium to support Fluminense, and I
enjoy it. I've been playing footbal since I was 15. I am not good at it but I will surprise you on the pitch. I have the speed and enegry for playing football, and I like it. The Fluminense women's team that I am playing has won the support from fans.

| What about your career? | I won't choose football as my career. My priority is my soap opera. I appear every day throughout Brazil. But what I really want is working in fashion. |
| Then, says something about it! | I went to model school when I was 14. I was modelling with the best fashion houses here in Rio. I'll be get back to this field in the future. May be I'm not tall enough but I'll catch up any opportunity. |
| What about the future? | When I really want something, I'll try my best to get it. I hope now I'm in the news a lot as Ronaldo's girlfriend, people won't forget what I've already done. |

Ronaldo met his first girlfriend when he was playing for Cruzeiro. She was Nadia Franca, a model and student from a rich family. After she had graduated, she joint Ronaldo in Holland and the relationship became so serious that they were both wearing engagement rings. But later Ronaldo changed his mind and Nadia returned to Brazil. There was rumours about the reason of their separation. Nadia was discovered of deceiving Ronaldo for having his baby. Then, Ronaldo met the daughter of Frank Arnesen, general manager of PSV.
But it all came to an end when Susana emerged.
However, on June 1999, Ronaldo announced his separation with Susana. Immediately there was rumour about him and a film star from Brazil.
His romance is just as interesting as his life in soccer. 2 months later in August, when Ronaldo was on his tour in Hong Kong, he formally introduce his girlfriend to the world. She is Milene, a Brazil sportswoman. Now they are living in Milan for the coming of the new season of Serie A together.
Bad thing doesn't leave Ronaldo in the new millennium at all. No more fairy tales in the 21 century. Ronaldo announces his divorce with Milene in May 2001.
